Jolo Revilla undergoes second CT scan
Cavite Vice Governor Jolo Revilla underwent another computerized tomography (CT) scan as he remained in the intensive care unit of Asian Hospital and Medical Center in Muntinlupa City following the incident where he allegedly accidentally shot himself.
According to GMA Radyo DZBB reporter Manny Vargas, Revilla underwent a second CT scan Tuesday afternoon, a few hours before his father Sen. Ramon “Bong” Revilla Jr. arrived at the hospital after the he was given permission by the Sandiganbayan to leave his detention for five hours.
Based on the initial findings of the CT scan, there are signs of pneumonia seen on the left lung of the younger Revilla while there was hematoma or formation of blood in his right lung.
The report said doctors are also monitoring pneumothorax or the abnormal collection of air in Revilla's chest cavity or the space between his two lungs, which affects his breathing.
The report also said that Revilla still has high fever.
Meanwhile, in a separate interview of DZBB, the Revilla family's spokesperson lawyer Raymund Fortun, said the young Revilla was also complaining of pains.
“I talked to his physician a while ago and he said Revilla is in a lot more pain today than yesterday. Talagang may mga sakit daw ng katawan na iniinda,” Fortun said.
Revilla was rushed to the Asian hospital on Saturday after he allegedly shot himself accidentally on his right chest while he was cleaning his caliber 40 Glock pistol inside his family home in Ayala Alabang in Muntinlupa City. —Elizabeth Marcelo/NB, GMA News
