Trinidad to be proclaimed Sunday night as Pasay mayor - report
Winners in the electoral race in Pasay City could be proclaimed Sunday night, with Wenceslao "Peewee" Trinidad declared winner in the mayoral race, radio dzBB reported. The report quoted election officer Antoinette Soriano as saying that the proclamation could take place tonight after the canvassing of elections returns (ER). The report said city election officers have so far canvassed 90 percent of ERs. Only 32 ERs are left for canvassing, dzBB said. As of posting time, DzBB said Trinidad and vice mayoral bet Antonino "Tony" Calixto topped Commission on Election's official, partial tally results. Meanwhile, the same results showed that Jose Antonino Calixto is leading by more than 200 votes over close congressional rival Alan Panaligan, the city's incumbent mayor. The report said Edgardo Angara was the only Team Unity candidate who was included in Pasay's Magic 12. The city's voters chose nine Genuine Opposition bets and two independent candidates. Pasay voted for Buhay as top party-list organization. - GMANews.TV
