Q and A on Ateneo tuition

As part of our research for a series on tuition, we sent the Ateneo de Manila University, arguably the nation's most elite school, a set of questions on the cost of studying there. We were referred by the Office of the Registrar to the Ateneo's Office of the Vice President for Loyola Schools which sent the responses below to our questions. We are posting the answers in the wake of questions about where we sourced the Ateneo figures in our table.

1) What is the MINIMUM cost of tuition per unit? (We would like to confirm whether it is Php 2,943.95 across all courses at ADMU)

Yes, Php2,943.95 is the cost of tuition per unit but this is applicable only for 11 units and below. For 12 units up to the maximum load per concentration, tuition fee per sem (excluding other fees) is Php54,545.85.

2) What is the minimum number of units a student can take in one term (across all courses)? 12 units is the minimum number of units required to be considered a full-time student.

3) What is the average number of units students take in a term (across all courses)? 19.5 units

4) What is the minimum cost of miscellaneous fees per term? Php21,344.55 5) What is the minimum overall cost (tuition + misc. fees) per term? Php75,890.40

6) What is the minimum overall cost (tuition + misc. fees) for Computer Science undergraduates per term? Php82,246.20
