President Benigno Aquino III arrived at the People Power Monument at Epifanio delos Santos Avenue (EDSA) in Quezon City shortly before 8 a.m. Monday to lead the rites marking the 27th anniversary of the EDSA-1 People Power revolt.
Aquino arrived at the area at 7:50 a.m. and was given full military honors, radio dzBB's Benjie Liwanag Jr. reported.
Joining him were officials led by Vice President Jejomar Binay, the report said.
The president's sisters Ballsy and Pinky were also at the site, radio dzBB's Tuesday Niu reported.
Aquino, who was to lead flag-raising ceremonies at EDSA, trooped the lines shortly after his arrival with Armed Forces chief of staff Gen. Emmanuel Bautista.
