Water levels still critical in Luzon's 3 dams — PAGASA


Despite rains in recent days, water levels in three major dams in Luzon, including Angat Dam in Bulacan, remain critical. The Philippine Atmospheric Geophysical and Astronomical Services Administration (PAGASA) said that as of 6 a.m. Thursday, water levels at the three dams remain below normal. Water levels at Angat Dam, which supplies 97 percent of Metro Manila's water needs, were at 173.48 meters as of 6 a.m. Thursday. It was down 0.24 meter from Wednesday's level, and still 10.71 meters below the "normal" level of 184.19 meters. Similarly critical was the water level at San Roque Dam in Pangasinan, which stood at 252.40 meters as of 6 a.m. Thursday. This was 10.60 meters below the "normal" level of 263 meters, PAGASA said. Water levels at the Pantabangan Dam in Nueva Ecija stood at 193.36 meters, 12.14 meters below the "normal" level of 205.50 meters. — LBG, GMANews.TV
