Metro Manila traffic advisory for Undas 2009 (with interactive map)

(Updated Oct. 29 8:15 p.m.) GMANews.TV is publishing this traffic advisory, based on the rerouting plans for vehicular traffic going to the main cemeteries in the National Capital Region as issued by various Metro Manila authorities.
The first map below, prepared by GMANews.TV, is an interactive Google map showing Manila North Cemetery, La Loma Cemetery and the Chinese cemetery as one cluster at the Kalookan-Manila border; the Manila South Cemetery in Makati; and the Manila Memorial Park further south in Parañaque. Click on the (+) button at the upper-left corner of the map to zoom into a closer view. Click at any point of the map, and drag the mouse to any direction, to show other areas of Metro Manila. The other maps shown further down, prepared by GMA News Research, show the same cemeteries and surrounding thoroughfares with accompanying detail of the traffic rerouting plans. Red lines represent roads closed to traffic. Green lines represent roads open to traffic leading into or out of cemeteries. Green areas with black borders, in the interactive map, represent cemeteries. Clicking on red and green lines or green areas in the interactive map will bring up a text box showing more details.

Sarado sa mga motorista ang mga daan sa palibot ng North Cemetery tulad ng Aurora Boulevard mula Dimasalang hanggang Rizal Avenue. (Streets surrounding North Cemetery, such as Aurora Boulevard from Dimasalang up to Rizal Avenue, will be closed to motorists.) 2. Sarado rin ang ilang bahagi ng Blumentritt, Dimasalang, Retiro, P. Guevarra, at Leonor Rivera. (Also to be closed are portions of Blumentritt, Dimasalang, Retiro, P. Guevarra, and Leonor Rivera.)
3. Sa mga pampubliko at pribadong sasakyan na manggagaling sa Rizal Avenue at Blumentritt, palilikuin kayo sa Cavite Street. Tapos sa L. Rivera o Isagani, at sa Antipolo Street bago bumalik sa normal na ruta. (Public and private vehicles coming from Rizal Avenue and Blumentritt will be redirected to Cavite St, then to L. Rivera or Isagani, then to Antipolo St, before returning to the normal route.) 4. Kung manggaling sa Dimasalang, ang daan ay sa Makiling, tapos sa Maceda bago ituloy ang normal na ruta. (If you are coming from Dimasalang, the route will be via Makiling, then to Maceda, then back to the normal route.)
LA LOMA AND CHINESE CEMETERIES Source: Philippine National Police 1. Para sa mga sasakyan na pupuntang La Loma o Chinese Cemetery: Baybayin ang A.H. Lacson, Tayuman, Blumentritt bago lumabas sa Rizal Avenue o Jose Abad Santos. (For vehicles going to La Loma or Chinese Cemetery: Follow A.H. Lacson, Tayuman, Blumentritt before turning to Rizal Avenue or Jose Abad Santos.)
2. Kung manggaling naman sa Quiapo, Santa Cruz, Tondo o Caloocan: tahakin ang Jose Abad Santos o Rizal Avenue Extension. (If youâre coming from Quiapo, Santa Cruz, Tondo or Caloocan: go via Jose Abad Santos or Rizal Avenue Extension.)
MANILA SOUTH CEMETERY Source: Metropolitan Manila Development Authority, Philippine National Police Gagawin namang one way lang ang Kalayaan Avenue sa Makati para sa mga pupuntang South Cemetery. (Kalayaan Avenue in Makati will be one-way only, for those going to the South Cemetery.)
MANILA MEMORIAL PARK Source: Paranaque City Parking and Traffic Management Office For Manila Memorial Park, rerouting will be in place starting Saturday October 31. May ipapatupad ding traffic scheme simula Sabado Oktubre 31 sa Sucat Highway papuntang Manila Memorial Park (The following traffic scheme will be implemented starting Saturday October 31 along Sucat Highway going to Manila Memorial Park): 1. Ang mga pampublikong jeep na galing Baclaran ay dapat nasa inner lane. (Public jeepneys from Baclaran should take the inner lane.) 2. Ang iba namang sasakyan, lalo na yung papunta sa sementeryo ay dapat nasa middle at outer lane. (Other vehicles, especially those going to the cemetery, should take the middle and outer lane.)
3. Kung galing naman sa Sucat Highway, nasa outer lane dapat ang mga jeep na palilikuin sa President's Avenue, Aguirre Avenue, El Grande, bago palalabasin sa Lopez Avenue. (Coming from Sucat Highway, jeepneys should take the outer lane; they will be rerouted to President's Avenue, Aguirre Avenue, El Grande, before returning to Lopez Avenue.) 4. Nasa inner at middle lanes naman dapat ang mga sasakyang papunta sa Manila Memorial Park. (Vehicles going to Manila Memorial Park should take the inner and middle lanes.)
