19-year-old killed in Tondo gang war

MANILA, Philippines — A 19-year-old bachelor was shot dead in a fight between the Magic 5" and “Exodus" gang in Manila’s district of Tondo at midnight Friday. Police on Saturday said Emmanuel Dabon Jr. of 54 Sta. Fe St. was shot at about 12:10 a.m. at the corner of Radial 10 and Chesa Sts. and was taken to the Gat. Andres Bonifacio but he died on the way due to a bullet wound in the body. Detective Edgardo Ko of the Manila Police District’s (MPD)-Homicide Section said they are looking for a man known only by the aliases “Vincent," “Marvin," and “Michael Puti," and three other suspected members of the “Magic 5" gang. The victim and his friends Nancy Cervantes and Mary Ann Cubilla, who were allegedly members of Exodus Gang, were talking when the members of the Magic 5 arrived. Sensing danger, Dabon and his companions fled but the suspects chased them and shot the victim. Detective Ko said the Magic 5 and Exodus gangs in the area are known to be at odds. - GMANews.TV
