Russian vlogger 'Vitaly' face complaint for undesirability — BI

The Russian vlogger who harassed Filipinos during a livestream is now facing a complaint for undesirability, Immigration spokesperson Dana Sandoval said Friday.

In an interview on Super Radyo dzBB, Sandoval said content creator and streamer Vitaly Zdorovetskiy underwent inquest proceedings on Thursday.

“Siya po ay chinarge natin for undesirability kasi nakita natin ‘yung mga acts niya ay talaga namang lahat ng tick box ba na for undesirable alien ay chinekan na niya,” Sandoval said.

(We charged him for undesirability because we saw that his actions basically checked every tick box for what defines an undesirable alien.)

“More than bastos, more than magulo siya, ‘yung ginawa niya po ay actual crimes na vinideohan niya pa. Kasi pagnanakaw, pag verbal abuse, so ito pong mga actions niya ay talagang crimes,” she added.

(More than being rude, more than being disruptive, what he did were actual crimes—and he even recorded them. Theft, verbal abuse, so these actions are truly criminal.)

Zdorovetskiy was arrested in a hotel in Pasay City on Wednesday after his video went viral and drew flak on social media for harassing and insulting Filipinos for content.

Sandoval said that the vlogger’s actions seemed to be “rage bait” to induce viewers to interact with his content.

“Pero ‘yun nga, tumawid siya doon sa ginawa niya. Hindi na siya basta nakakainis lang or nakaka-annoy lang. Krimen na po ‘yung ginawa niya,” Sandoval said.

(But that’s the thing, he crossed the line with what he did. It’s no longer just irritating or merely annoying. What he did was a crime.)

Zdorovetskiy is currently detained at the BI facility in Camp Bagong Diwa, Taguig.

“Nung dumating po siya the other day, smug pa siya, parang tatawa-tawa pa siya. Walang remorse. Nagpa-flying kiss pa,” she said.

(When he arrived the other day, he was even smug, and he was laughing it off. No remorse at all. He was even blowing flying kisses.)

“Pero ang kine-kwento po sa atin ng ating mga operatiba nung dinala na po siya sa facility, mukhang nahimasmasan itong tao na ito,” she added.

(But according to our agents, once he was brought to the facility, it seems like this person finally came to his senses.)

Sandoval said police authorities are also looking into the possible filing of complaints against Zdorovetskiy’s Filipino companions.

Meanwhile, Sandoval said they will look into other possible crimes that Zdorovetskiy may be facing through the database of the International Criminal Police Organization.

She said that should he be deported, he will be placed under the BI’s blacklist and will no longer be allowed to enter the Philippines.

However, she said the BI will have to wait for the resolution of the complaints filed against Zdorovetskiy.

“Kung siya po ay patawan ng sentensya ng local courts natin ng pagkakakulong ay kailangan niya po muna pag dusahan iyon sa ating mga local jails bago po natin i-implement ang actual deportation,” Sandoval said.

(If he is sentenced by our local courts, he must first serve that sentence in our local jails before we can implement the actual deportation.) —AOL, GMA Integrated News
