Rider crashes into jeepney, ran over by motorcycle in QC

A motorcycle rider survived despite crashing into a jeepney and being run over by another motorcycle in Congressional Avenue, Quezon City on Tuesday evening.
According to Raffy Tima’s report in “Saksi” on Wednesday, footage from a motorist caught the accident wherein the victim hit the rear of the jeepney which caused him to fall to the ground and his helmet to fly off.
Unfortunately, an incoming motorcycle was not able to stop causing him to run over the victim.
The witness, Jover Cajandig, said that he was curious as to why the victim did not engage his brakes when the jeepney stopped to drop off its passengers.
Cajandig also caught on camera the motorcycle rider who ran over the victim stopping, but eventually left the scene of the accident.
“Nakita ko po siya, nakatingin pa siya eh. Siguro balak din naman niyang tumulong. Napansin ko lang po, siguro yung nangingisay na yung taong na-aksidente, maya-maya lang dumiretsyo na siya,” he said.
(I saw him looking at what happened. I think he really wanted to help. But when the victim began shaking, he later drove away.)
Concerned onlookers and other motorcycle riders helped the victim.
Cajandig took the victim’s phone and called the last person he had a conversation with.
Later, Quezon City Police District Traffic Sector 6 said the victim’s sibling went to them to get a police report.
The victim is already in good condition. His family has no plans to file charges. —Vince Angelo Ferreras/RF, GMA Integrated News
