Indonesian nabbed for soliciting child porn

An Indonesian man was caught in Quezon City on Thursday night for allegedly soliciting lewd photos and videos of young girls.

In Bea Pinlac’s ''24 Oras Weekend'' report on Saturday, the 28-year-old foreigner who had just arrived in the Philippines allegedly victimized and abused young girls online for a price of up to P20,000.

(He offered money to a group of mothers whose children were online fashionistas. At first, his modus operandi was to sponsor them for this activity. Then later, he would offer other services and he would also give a larger amount.)

One of the mothers in the group reported the incident to the police after being alarmed by the alleged extra service the suspect was demanding from her 8-year-old daughter.

(At first, the victim didn't understand what extra service is. Later, I read in some of the texts that he wanted to have sex with the girl.)

He also allegedly asked for photos and videos of the child in a bikini or without clothing. But the suspect insisted that he had an agreement with the victim's mother, so he went to the Philippines.

“It was a scam because we already agreed (to) some stuff. They promised me to do something. I transferred the money; they didn’t deliver. I wasn’t going to lie that I was obsessed with little girls. They need the money, and I can offer the money; but let’s make a deal. I never force,” said the suspect.

The suspect is facing charges of human trafficking and violation of the law on anti-online sexual abuse and exploitation of children.  —Sherylin Untalan/VBL, GMA Integrated News
