Dead baby found on pile of garbage in Baseco, Manila

A dead infant was found on a pile of garbage in Baseco Compound, Manila on Thursday evening, according to a report of GMA Integrated News’ Jhomer Apresto on Unang Balita on Friday.

Based on CCTV footage, two men saw the body of the baby near the seawall on Block 15 around 10 p.m. The cadaver was covered in a bloody bedsheet.

Tapos, may fetus na nakita,” Barangay 649 desk officer Nearwin Surposa said.

(A woman was seen there looking at the trash. Then, a fetus was found.)

(I’m monitoring on the radio where the cadaver came from, and then on the CCTV, I’m reviewing who really threw the body there. The time and who really brought the remains there are not certain.)

The area was cordoned off and funeral service personnel arrived to take the dead baby.

(Whoever brought the baby’s body there, they shouldn't have done that. The remains could have been buried immediately in the cemetery,"

The police are now conducting an investigation to identify who left the baby’s remains. --Joviland Rita/ VAL, GMA Integrated News
