Blessed Carlos Acutis relic on display at Adamson University

A relic of Blessed Carlos Acutis has been placed in a chapel inside the Adamson University compound in Manila.

The first-class relic is on display as the Adamson Computer Science Society launched their religious event titled “Following Acutis: Saintliness in the Age of Modern Technology.”

The first-class relic, which is a physical remains of a saint like a piece of their bone or hair, will be on display until March 13, 2025.

According to the social media post, Adamson said the event gave the students a chance to “relate and see themselves in the life of Bl. Acutis through the sacrament of confession and Eucharistic Adoration.”

Blessed Acutis, who died at the age of 15, is set to be canonized or declared a saint after the Vatican declared that he had interceded from heaven to save two lives.

A tech-savvy person, Acutis could be the first millennial saint for devoting his life to promoting the Catholic faith online and providing for the poor.

Acutis was beatified in 2020 following the healing of a Brazilian boy from a rare congenital disease.

In 2022, Pope Francis recognized the second miracle attributed to him, which is a requirement before a person is canonized or declared a saint. — Mariel Celine Serquiña/BAP, GMA Integrated News
