3 nabbed over fake diploma, other docs in Recto —MPD

Three persons were arrested on Recto Avenue in Manila for allegedly falsifying diplomas, driver’s licenses, birth certificates and other documents, according to the police on Thursday.

In a statement, the Manila Police District said the three suspects were arrested on Tuesday afternoon as authorities conducted an entrapment operation against the proliferation of fake public documents.

Among the recovered items from the suspects were:

• fake drivers license 
• board with different fake documents 
• fake diploma
• several fake receipts
• fake copy of PSA birth certificate 
• fake cash voucher receipt
• rubber stamp

The suspects and evidence were brought to MPD’s District Intelligence Division for investigation and proper disposition. 

According to the police, the suspects may face complaints for falsification of public documents under the Revised Penal Code. — Joviland Rita/BM, GMA Integrated News
