Vlogger-DJ Jellie Aw willing to forgive fiancé but ...

Trigger warning: This article contains mentions of physical assault and violence

Vlogger and disc jockey Jellie Aw said on Friday that she is willing to forgive her fiancé who allegedly assaulted her, but added that he must be held accountable.

“Kaya ko po siyang patawarin pero gusto ko po pagbayaran niya 'yung ginawa sa akin para hindi na niya magawa sa mga ibang babae pa,” she said in John Consulta’s report in “24 Oras.”

(I can forgive him but I want him to be held accountable for what he has done to me, so he would not do it again to other women.)

Jellie recalled that the abuse happened while they were on the expressway last Wednesday.

She said that her fiancé pulled her hair while he was driving, adding that she was punched which left her with a tiny blood clot on her eye. The physical assault also left her with a chipped tooth and bruised upper lip.

“Sobrang seloso po kasi, parang maliit na bagay po pinagseselosan niya,” said Jellie.

(He is a very jealous person even with small things.)

“Buti na lang po pagdating po namin ng Angeles, Pampanga, 'di po umangat 'yung boom kaya 'yun na po yung chance ko para makahingi ng tulong,” she added. “After po nun, nakita ko siya tumatakbo tapos may mga bus po kasi, sumakay po siya sa bus.”

(When we reached Angeles, Pampanga, it was a good thing that the boom did not rise up, so I had a chance at that time to seek help. After that, I saw him running away and took a ride on a bus.)

The vlogger-DJ already filed a complaint before the National Bureau of Investigation, which is now pursuing her fiancé.

"Kung suwe-suwertehin tayo, within the day, makukuha natin 'yung boyfriend niya para mapanagot sa kasalanan na ginawa niya," said NBI director Jaime Santiago in a press briefing.

(If we are lucky, we may get him within the day so he can answer for his crime.)

The NBI has also examined Jellie’s vehicle where the incident happened to document the evidence.

“So kung sa subject natin, kung naririnig mo ito, maganda na makipag-ungnayan na lang sa amin, sumuko dito para makakabawas pa 'yon sa kinakaharap na kaso,” said Yehlen Agus, NBI VAWCD chief.

(To our subject, if you are watching this, it would be better if you just surrender and coordinate with us so it will lessen the charges to be filed against you.) —Vince Angelo Ferreras/LDF, GMA Integrated News
