NBI pursuing vlogger DJ Jellie Aw's fiancé
The National Bureau of Investigation (NBI) is now pursuing the fiancé of disc jockey and influencer Jellie Aw amid allegations of abuse, NBI chief Jaime Santiago said Friday.
"Hinahabol natin 'yung kanyang boyfriend. So I asked her baka naman lumuhod sa iyo ito, patawarin mo, sabi niya hindi. Tuturuan daw niya ng leksiyon. She wants the boyfriend to go to jail," Santiago said in a press briefing.
(We are pursuing her boyfriend. So I asked her, if he kneels in front of you, will you forgive him? She said no. She said she wants to teach him a lesson. She wants the boyfriend to go to jail.)
"Kung suwe-suwertehin tayo, within the day, makukuha natin 'yung boyfriend niya para mapanagot sa kasalanan na ginawa niya," he added.
(If we are lucky, we may get him within the day so he can answer for his crime.)

Earlier, a photo of Jellie Aw's bloodied and bruised face went viral online after an incident of abuse took place.
Meanwhile, Santiago called on victims to not tolerate abuse.
"'Wag kayong hayaan ninyo na abusuhin kayo ng inyong mga boyfriend. Alam niyo, walang 'I love you' forever. Kapag sinasaktan na kayo, hindi na kayo mahal niyan dahil hindi nga sinasaktan ang babae," he said.
(Don't let yourselves be abused by your boyfriends. You know, there's no 'I love you' forever. If you are abused, he no longer loves you because you should never hurt women.)
He said this applies not only to physical molestation but also verbal abuse.
"We will consider this strictly confidential. Mag o-operate po tayo, tutulungan po namin kayo… dahil sa pagmamahal, pikit mata na lang kayo. Ay naku, 'wag ho. Maawa kayo sa sarili ninyo. Respeto ninyo ang sarili niyo," Santiago said.
