The Bureau of Customs (BOC) was able to intercept six parcels containing high-grade marijuana worth more than P4.5 million in Pasay City.
According to a statement on Wednesday, the parcels, which originated from Thailand and were addressed to several recipients, were flagged down by BOC-Ninoy Aquino International Airport (NAIA) personnel during a routine inspection.
The package was found to contain a total of 3,231 grams of kush with an estimated value of P4,523,400.
The contraband has been turned over to the Philippine Drug Enforcement Agency (PDEA) for further investigation and charges for violation of the Comprehensive Dangerous Drugs Act of 2002 and the Customs Modernization and Tariff Act. —Jiselle Anne Casucian/KG, GMA Integrated News
