Over 30 EDSA busway violators fined P5K each

Several motorists that included a government vehicle were each fined P5,000 by traffic authorities Monday for using the EDSA busway in Quezon City.

According to a 24 Oras report Monday, most of the violators were motorcycle riders.

Also flagged were motorists with expired driver’s licenses and vehicle registrations.

All the violators were each fined P5,000.

Aside from the convoys of the President, Vice President, Senate President, House Speaker, and Chief Justice, the only vehicles exempted in the busway are on-duty ambulances, fire trucks and police cars.
