Rider tries to flee Comelec checkpoint; yields gun, shabu


Police have arrested a motorcycle rider who tried to flee from a Commission on Elections (COMELEC) checkpoint in Tondo, Manila.

According to a Saksi report on Thursday, police immediately chased the suspect and noticed that he had a gun on his waist.

He was cornered on Bambang Street, where police found in his possession a gun, bullets, and suspected shabu said to be worth P100,000.

The suspect eventually confessed that he was delivering drugs under the instruction of his friend in exchange for money.

Authorities also confirmed that the suspect had no driver’s license and other documents proving that he owned the vehicle. —NB, GMA Integrated News
