Fire hits residential building in Tondo

A fire hit a four-storey residential building in Tondo, Manila on Monday afternoon.

The incident occurred at C.P. Garcia Street, Road 10, Barangay 123, Moriones in Tondo at 2:07 p.m. The fire started on the third floor of the building.

While there were no fatalities logged, nine individuals were injured, including the 79-year old property owner  who suffered a minor burn on her right shoulder.

Meanwhile, the youngest victim is a three-year-old girl who had difficulty breathing due to smoke inhalation.

According to the Bureau of Fire Protection (BFP), there were 15 heavily damaged residential spaces and establishments due to the fire. It also affected around 130 individuals.

Authorities estimated around P250,000 worth of damages due to the incident.
