Quiapo Church warns of scams ahead of Nazareno 2025

The Minor Basilica and National Shrine of Jesus Nazareno warned devotees of scams ahead of the Feast of the Jesus Nazareno on January 9, 2025.

In Manny Vargas’ report in Super Radyo dzBB on Monday, the church reminded the public that it does not allow the home-to-home visits of the image of Jesus of Nazareth’s hand.

Such a scheme is being used to ask for offerings and donations which the Quiapo Church deems illegal, the report said.

Authorized priests from the Quiapo Church are the only ones allowed to bring out the image, but the blessing is only being done within the premises of the church.

Millions of devotees flock to Quiapo Church every January 9 to honor the Jesus Nazareno in hopes of getting their prayers answered or receiving miracles.
