Quiapo Church announces schedule of activities ahead of Nazareno 2025
The Quiapo Church (Minor Basilica and National Shrine of Jesus Nazareno) on Saturday announced the schedule of activities in line with the upcoming celebration of the Feast of Jesus Nazareno.
In a Facebook post, the church listed the following activities:
- December 31, 2024 | Walk of Thanksgiving
--12:00 midnight (evening of December 30, Assembly)
- January 1 - 6, 2025 | Barangay Visitation
--Basic Ecclessial Community - Quiapo District
- January 2, 2025 | Thursday
--1:30 p.m. - Nuestro Padre Jesus Nazareno Replica & Standarte Blessing
The following activities will be held at the Quirino Grandstand:
- January 6, 2025 | Monday
6:00 p.m. - Mass for the Volunteers
- January 7 - 9, 2025 | Pahalik
- January 8, 2025 | Wednesday
3:00 p.m. - Band Parade
5:00 p.m. - Panalangin sa Takipsilim
Vigil and Program
- January 9, 2025 | Thursday
Midnight - Misa Mayor
1:00 a.m. - Continuation of Vigil and Program - Panalangin sa Bukang-liwayway
Part of the annual celebration of the Feast of Jesus Nazareno on January 9 is the procession of the 400-year-old black image of Jesus Christ from Quirino Grandstand to Quiapo Church in Manila.
The Quiapo Church previously reported that as many as 6.5 million people participated in Nazareno 2024, the first Traslacion after a three-year break due to the COVID-19 pandemic. — DVM/KG, GMA Integrated News
