NBI seizes fake Chanel items worth P44-M in Makati City

The National Bureau of Investigation (NBI) on Wednesday said that its agents seized counterfeit items, including fake Chanel products, in separate operations in Makati City.

According to the bureau, agents of the NBI-National Capital Region and the NBI-Intellectual Property Rights Division implemented five search warrants for trademark infringement against owners, managers, operators of stores in the city.

This led the agents to seize various products bearing the Chanel brand with an approximate value of P44.4 million.

The NBI said the operation stemmed from the request of a law firm to investigate and enforce action. — BAP, GMA Integrated News
