‘High value’ Chinese drug suspect nabbed with P15M worth of shabu in Navotas

A Chinese citizen and his female partner were arrested in buy-bust operations in Navotas City on early Monday, which yielded P15 million worth of shabu.

According to Marisol Abdurahman’s report in 24 Oras, the foreigner is allegedly the source of street-level drug dealers within the CAMANAVA area.

“Kung hindi natin nasakote ito, sigurado idi-distribute pa ito,” said Navotas Police chief P/Colonel Mario Cortes.

(If we did not arrest this one, he could be continuing his drug distribution activities.)

The arrest stemmed from information received by police on the illegal activities of the Chinese man who is considered as a “high-value” individual.

Further, the police are looking into the possibility if the foreigner is involved in the activities of the Philippine offshore gaming operators or POGOs.

“Malamang may shifting at umiiba na sila ng galawan,” said Cortes.

(It’s possible that there’s shifting and they are venturing into other activities.)

Cortes said they will look into the possibility that the suspect is also involved in the manufacture of illegal drugs based on information derived from his mobile phone.

The foreigner denied being involved in POGO activities, while his partner declined to speak to the media.
