NBI arrests suspect for allegedly raping son
The National Bureau of Investigation arrested a suspect in Quezon City for allegedly raping his son when the latter was three years old.
In a statement on Tuesday, the NBI said the suspect's wife had filed a marital rape case against the suspect.
However, the suspect and his wife reconciled in October 2024.
But, after she returned from a four-day vacation, the victim, who is now five years old, complained of a sharp pain in his rectum.
Results from medical examinations revealed that the wound was not caused by constipation and the mother was advised to proceed with a medico-legal examination of her son.
The result of the medico-genital examination showed that external injury was present in his anogenital area.
Authorities nabbed the suspect during a hot-pursuit operation in Barangay Paltok on December 4.
The suspect was presented for inquest proceedings before the Office of the City Prosecutor of Manila for rape charges. — DVM, GMA Integrated News
