Murder raps filed vs couple over killing of fellow cop —PNP

A murder complaint has been filed against a couple for allegedly killing a fellow police officer in Camp Bagong Diwa, Taguig City, the Philippine National Police (PNP) said on Monday.

“Nakapagsampa na po ng kasong murder ang Taguig City Police Station over the weekend sa pagpatay nga ng isang pulis...'Yung dalawang suspek naman na pulis na mag-asawa ay nasa kustodiya po ng Taguig CPS,” PNP spokesperson Police Brigadier General Jean Fajardo said in a press briefing.

(The Taguig City Police Station has filed a murder complaint over the weekend for the killing of a police officer...The two suspects, who are both police officers, are in the custody of the Taguig CPS.)

The police are still waiting for the result of the autopsy on the body of the victim, according to Fajardo.

Based on initial reports, the police executive master sergeant on November 28 was shot by a fellow cop after the suspect allegedly caught the victim in a “very intimate situation” with the suspect’s wife, who is also a police officer.

The Southern Police District (SPD) said the male suspect claimed that he used a hacksaw and dismembered the victim. He then transported and buried the body in his ancestral house in Baguio City.

The body of the victim was found on December 5 after the male suspect told the police where he buried the remains.

While the female suspect has yet to give a statement about the killing, Fajardo said that based on the account of the male suspect, she was present when the victim was killed, chopped up, and transported.

Fajardo said the police are also looking into the claim of the victim’s son, who is also a police officer, that more people were involved in the killing. The police are also considering other motives in the killing.

The family of the cop victim said the extrajudicial confession of the male suspect was false.

“For the past few days, there was a malicious news spreading that my father and a certain demonic woman was caught in the act of sexual activity that resulted to the shooting of my father committed by her demonic husband,” the victim's family said in a statement on Facebook.

“This report was based on the ‘FALSE’ extrajudicial confession made by these two demonic individuals who killed my father,” it added, calling the incident as massacre.

The family also claimed that the killing of the victim was planned and involved around 10 to 20 more perpetrators.

“For clarity, it was a set up that started by a forcible abduction, and merciless tortures that resulted to the tragic death of my father. It was planned and prepared since March 2024 up to present, to kill my father once he visit Manila perpetrated by these two demonic individuals…” the family said.

“Yes their cohorts, this demonic crime was not only committed by these two but more or less 10 to 20 other demonic individuals,” it added.—AOL, GMA Integrated News
