Man nabbed for alleged rape of 5-year old son in QC
A 36-year old man was arrested for allegedly raping his five-year-old son in Quezon City.
According to a 24 Oras report by John Consulta on Wednesday, the victim’s mother claimed the abuse began in 2022, which caused her to leave the suspect.
She reconciled with him in October, thinking he had changed.
(Our complainant went on vacation and left the child with his father. When she came back, she became suspicious because there was something different with her son. Our medico-legal examined the child and found there was an injury on the child’s private part.)
Makulong po talaga siya tapos makamit namin yung justice,” the victim’s mother said.
(I am not making up stories for a man. I hope he’s put behind bars so we can get justice.)
Meanwhile, the suspect denied the allegation.
“Ginagamit niya yung bata against sa akin.
(She is using the child against me. She just wants to be free of me so she can do what she wants to do. The truth will come out eventually, and my son will say that I am innocent. The only thing I am worried about is the trauma and the negative effect on the child’s mental health.)
Charges of rape under the Revised Penal Code and violation of Republic Act 7610 or Child abuse will be filed against the suspect.
(We will also examine him if he had been using illegal drugs.)
Psychological intervention and counseling will be provided for the young victim.
