Caloocan City announces road closures, rerouting for Bonifacio Day 2024


Caloocan City Mayor Dale Gonzalo “Along” Malapitan announced Friday that several roads in the city will be temporarily closed in preparation for the celebration of the 161st birth anniversary of Andres Bonifacio on Saturday.

In an advisory posted on his Facebook account, Malapitan said the following roads will be closed from 11 p.m., November 29, to 11 a.m., November 30, Bonifacio Day:

  • EDSA Southbound Lane to Balintawak (Samson Road corner Lapu-lapu Street, both sides; Rizal Avenue corner 10th Avenue, both sides)
  • EDSA to MacArthur Highway (zipper lane northbound lane)
  • MacArthur Highway to EDSA (zipper lane from Calle Uno to northbound lane)
  • MacArthur Highway to Manila

Motorists from Rizal Avenue going to MacArthur Highway should turn left to 10th Avenue, turn right to Heroes del 96, turn left to Caimito Road or Dagohoy Street.

Those coming from MacArthur should turn right to Caimito Road, right to Samson Road, left to Heroes del 96, left to 10th Avenue, then right to Rizal Avenue.

Vehicles from MacArthur going to EDSA should take the zipper lane at EDSA northbound and then straight ahead A. De Jesus u-turn slot going to EDSA southbound.

Those from Rizal Avenue going to EDSA are advised to turn right to 10th Avenue and left at B. Serrano Street.

Motorists coming from Rizal Avenue going to Sangandaan should turn left to 10th Avenue and turn right to A. Mabini Street.

Those coming from Samson Road going to Monumento are advised to use A. Mabini street or Heroes del 96.—AOL, GMA Integrated News
