Zamora denies Jinggoy's 'flying voters' claim in San Juan

Francis Zamora on Thursday junked allegations of flying voters in San Juan made by Senator Jinggoy Estrada.

Mayor Francis Zamora on Thursday junked allegations of flying voters in San Juan made by Senator Jinggoy Estrada.

“I categorically deny that we have flying voters in San Juan. I do not need flying voters,” Zamora told reporters.

Estrada on Monday raised the alarm over the supposed “highly irregular” increase in registered voters in San Juan.

“If these issues will not be resolved, no other candidates from other parties will have the chance of being elected as public officials in San Juan," said Estrada.

"Wala nang pagkakataon dahil meron silang 30,000 flying voters,” said the lawmaker.

(If these issues will not be resolved, no other candidates from other parties will have the chance of being elected as public officials in San Juan. They will vote for whoever the stupid mayor will endorse because they have 30,000 flying voters.)

Zamora, however, challenged Estrada to file an exclusion and back up his allegations.

“Kung totoong may 30,000 flying voters…hinahamon ko kayo Senator Estrada mag-file kayo ng exclusion sa korte. Maraming legal remedies ang pwedeng gawin,” added Zamora.

(If there are 30,000 flying voters, then I challenge Senator Estrada to file for exclusion. He has a lot of legal remedies for this.)

"Hindi ko po kailangan ng flying voters para manalo rito sa San Juan,” he added.

The Comelec earlier said it has formed a task force to look into the supposed "unusual" increase in the number of registered voters in some localities, including Makati and San Juan.
