Manila South Cemetery prepares for Undas influx

Despite the rains, an estimated 1,000 people visited the Manila South Cemetery on Thursday morning to pay respects to their dearly departed relatives.

But cemetery administrator Henry Dy said they expect the deluge of visitors tomorrow, November 1. Last year, 500,000 visited the cemetery on All Saints' Day.

Dy advised the public to either visit the cemetery today or early tomorrow morning.

The Manila South Cemetery is open from 5 a.m. to 7 p.m. Overnight stay is not allowed.

Local governments in NCR, meanwhile, have announced traffic advisories for the long weekend as well as cemetery schedules.
