Former actor John Wayne Sace nabbed for alleged fatal shooting of friend in Pasig
Former actor John Wayne Sace was arrested for allegedly shooting his friend to death in Pasig City.
According to a Balitanghali report by Emil Sumangil on Tuesday, Sace allegedly shot victim Lynell Eugenio in Barangay Sagad around 7:30 p.m. on Monday.
Based on initial investigation by the Pasig City Police, the suspect and the victim were having a conversation at the said area, which led to a heated argument.
Sace reportedly drew a .45 caliber pistol and shot the victim at close range. Eugenio sustained four gunshot wounds.
The suspect fled to an unknown direction together with the weapon used.
A few hours later, the Pasig Police follow-up unit received information that led to the arrest of Sace at a hotel not far from the city center.
Authorities recovered the handgun Sace allegedly used in the fatal shooting, as well as five spent bullet casings.
Pasig Police confirmed they have Sace in custody.
At around noon on Tuesday, Sace was brought from a detention cell of the Pasig Police headquarters to the Eastern Police District SOCO where he will undergo a paraffin test.
GMA Integrated News sought Sace's side for comment, but Pasig Police said the suspect revealed in his statements that he and the victim had a previous dispute. —Jamil Santos/RF, GMA Integrated News
