Number coding suspended on Oct. 25 due to Kristine - MMDA

Number coding suspended on Oct. 25 due to Kristine - MMDA

The expanded number coding scheme will remain suspended for the third straight day on Friday, October 25 due to the continuous rainfall caused by Severe Tropical Storm Kristine, the Metropolitan Manila Development Authority (MMDA) said.

“Mananatiling suspendido ang pagpapatupad ng Expanded Unified Vehicular Volume Reduction Program (UVVRP) o number coding scheme bukas, Oktubre 25 (Biyernes), dahil sa patuloy na nararanasang pag-ulan dulot ng bagyong #KristinePH,” the MMDA’s advisory read.

(The implementation of the Expanded Unified Vehicular Volume Reduction Program or number coding scheme will remain suspended until tomorrow, October 25 (Friday), due to the continuous rains caused by tropical cyclone Kristine.)

Tropical Cyclone Wind Signal No. 1 is hoisted over Metro Manila, according to state weather service PAGASA’s 5 p.m. update.

“Kristine” may exit the Philippine Area of Responsibility on Friday afternoon.

Meanwhile, several cities in the capital region such as Manila, Marikina, Las Pinas, and Quezon City have already announced class suspensions on Friday. —Vince Ferreras/LDF, GMA Integrated News
