Chinese suspect in Makati resto shooting an ‘undesirable alien’ — PNP
The Chinese suspect in the fatal shooting of a fellow countryman at a hotpot restaurant in Makati City is an undesirable alien who is involved in other criminal cases, the Philippine National Police (PNP) said on Monday.
“It appears po na undesirable alien po ito. In fact, na-cancel na po yung passport nito,” PNP spokesperson Police Brigadier General Jean Fajardo said in a press briefing.

Fajardo added the suspect had been involved in carnapping in 2022 and has a record of more cases in China.
“Ito pong suspek ay dati nang na-involve sa carnapping sometime in Year 2022. Na-file-an siya ng kaso subalit nakapag-bail po. It appears po based sa operational research ay dati na ring may record ito sa China na na-involve sa ibang mga kaso,” she said.

Authorities are still looking for the suspect.
As seen in CCTV footage, the 29-year-old victim was with a group inside a restaurant private room on October 17 when the suspect suddenly stood up armed with a pistol and shot him four times at close range, hitting his hand, arm and chest.
The victim was rushed to a hospital but was declared dead on arrival. The suspect and several others fled on board a vehicle after the incident.
Fajardo said the two Chinese are business partners and had a heated argument that led to the fatal shooting. —RF, GMA Integrated News
