Muntinlupa, Caloocan, Malabon release schedules, reminders for Undas 2024

The local governments of Muntinlupa, Caloocan, and Malabon have released the schedule of cemeteries, guidelines, and reminders for the observance of the All Saints’ and Souls’ Days on November 1 and 2.

In an advisory posted on its social media page, Muntinlupa City said the Libingang Panglungsod ng Muntinlupa will be open from 6 a.m. to 8 p.m. on October 31 and November 1.  

The cleaning and painting of tombs will be allowed until October 28 while there will be no interment nor cremation from October 31 to November 2, except for special cases.

The city said alcoholic beverages, firearms, sharp and pointed objects, flammable materials, gambling paraphernalias, and loud sound system such as videoke machines are prohibited inside the cemeteries.

Parking near the Libingang Panlungsod ng Muntinlupa will also be not allowed.

The local government said the public can call these numbers in case of any emergency: 137-175, 8373-5165, 0921-542-7123, and 0927-257-9322.

 

In a Facebook post, Caloocan City Mayor Dale “Along” Malapitan said public cemeteries will be open on October 30 to November 2 from 7 a.m. to 10 p.m.

He said the cleaning of tombs will be allowed until October 29. He also urged those who will visit the cemeteries to use the designated entrance and exit points.

He said vehicles will not be allowed to enter the public cemeteries in the city during the All Saints and Souls Days.

Also prohibited are:

  • Bringing of sharp and pointed objects like knives, ice pick, etc
  • Bringing of alcoholic drinks
  • Bringing of fireworks, firecrackers, and sound system
  • Gambling and bringing of gambling paraphernalias such as cards, mahjong, etc

The mayor urged the public to take care of their belongings and keep the cemetery clean.

He said the public can call this number for any emergency: 888 - ALONG (25664).
