Rose Lin, whose husband is linked to Pharmally, POGO, files COC for QC congresswoman

Businesswoman Rose Nono Lin on Monday filed her certificate of candidacy (COC) to run for congresswoman in the fifth district of Quezon City.

Lin filed her COC at the Comelec-National Capital Region, according to Super Radyo dzBB.

In 2021, Lin was linked to the controversial Pharmally Pharmaceutical Corporation as a shareholder of its alleged sister company Pharmally Biological Inc. However, Lin had denied ang involvement.

"Hindi rin po ako susi ng imbestigasyon na ito at wala po akong koneksyon sa gobyerno. Ang Pharmally Biological ay hindi po sister company ng Pharmally Pharmaceutical," Lin had said.

The Pharmally Corporation is a supplier of medical equipment that was linked to allegations of corruption during the height of the COVID-19 pandemic in 2020. 

Lin is also the wife of Chinese businessman Allan Lim who is being linked to illegal Philippine Offshore Gaming Operators (POGO).

GMA News Online has sought comment from Lin on the matter but she has yet to provide a statement as of posting time.

A total of 18,280 elective posts will be up for grabs for Eleksyon 2025. The filing of COCs has started on October 1 and is set to close on October 8, Tuesday. —NB, GMA Integrated News
