Bonoan-David, Malonzo eye House seats in Manila, Caloocan

Two politicians in the City of Manila and Caloocan will try to enter the House of Representatives after the May 2025 elections.

According to a report by Super Radyo dzBB's Luisito Santos on Saturday, former Manila congresswoman Trisha Bonoan-David filed her certificate of candidacy in a bid to reclaim her old seat.

She lost in the 2022 elections to current Manila 4th District Representative Edward Maceda.

Former Caloocan Mayor Rey Malonzo also filed his COC as he hopes to represent the city's first district.

Malonzo served as mayor of Caloocan from 1995 to 2004.

Meanwhile, Caloocan Mayor Dale Alonzo “Along” Malapitan announced that his partymates in Districts 1 to 3 of Caloocan had also filed their COCs.

Malapitan is running for a second term as mayor against former Senator Antonio Trillanes IV. —VBL, GMA Integrated News
