Belmonte, Sotto seek 3rd term as QC mayor, vice mayor

Incumbent Quezon City Mayor Joy Belmonte and Vice Mayor Gian Sotto have filed their Certificates of Candidacy (CoC) for the 2025 national elections on Tuesday.

“QCitizens, makakaasa po kayo na tuloy-tuloy ang pagsulong nina Mayor Joy at Vice Mayor Gian sa good governance para sa mas maunlad na lungsod Quezon, at mas maunlad na QCitizens!” read a statement posted on Facebook page supporting Belmonte.

The 2025 polls mark Belmonte and Sotto’s bid for their third consecutive term as the Quezon City Mayor and Vice Mayor, respectively.

In a statement, Belmonte said her administration has left a “lasting impact” on her constituents.

Lahat ay kasama sa pag-unlad,” she said.

(We can proudly say that we have given and will continue to give this kind of service to everyone who we serve… On my third term, we will ensure that we will achieve our dreams for each QCitizen and our city’s advocacy will become reality. Everyone will be part of progress.) —Jiselle Anne Casucian/RF, GMA Integrated News
