Makati suspends number coding on Sept. 2 due to Enteng

The Makati City local government unit suspended the city's number coding scheme on Monday, September 2, 2024.

This is due to the bad weather caused by Tropical Storm Enteng and the suspension of government work in Metro Manila.

"CODING ADVISORY: The number coding scheme in Makati is suspended today, September 2, 2024, due to Tropical Storm "Enteng" and following the suspension of government work in Metro Manila," the LGU said in a post on its Facebook page.

Metro Manila was placed under Tropical Cyclone Wind Signal No. 1 on Monday morning, PAGASA said.

Malacañang earlier announced the suspension of government work and classes in public and private schools in all levels in the National Capital Region (NCR) on Monday.

The implementation of the expanded number-coding scheme in the National Capital Region was also suspended on Monday amid the prevailing inclement weather, the Metropolitan Manila Development Authority said. —KG, GMA Integrated News
