Number coding suspended on Monday amid Enteng —MMDA


The implementation of the expanded number-coding scheme in the National Capital Region has been suspended on Monday amid the prevailing inclement weather, the Metropolitan Manila Development Authority (MMDA) said.

“In view of the inclement weather brought about by typhoon Enteng and southwest monsoon, the Unified Vehicular Volume Reduction Program or Number Coding is suspended today, September 2,” the MMDA said in an advisory.

The Makati City local government unit also announced the suspension of the city's number coding scheme on Monday, September 2, 2024.

Classes and government work in the National Capital Region were suspended on Monday due to the bad weather caused by Tropical Storm Enteng.

Metro Manila was among the areas placed under Tropical Cyclone Wind Signal No. 1 as of 8 a.m. Monday.  —Joviland Rita/KBK, GMA Integrated News
