Pasig River Ferry on limited operations on Aug. 27

Pasig River Ferry on limited operations on Aug. 27

The Metropolitan Manila Development Authority announced limited operations of the Pasig River Ferry Service on Tuesday due to a ''large volume of water hyacinths.''

According to the MMDA, the only operating route is from Guadalupe to Sta. Ana and back.

The limited operations were caused by blockages caused by water hyacinths near the Napindan dockyard.

“Nasa 15-20 tonelada [na] ang nahakot ng backhoe mula sa mga water hyacinth [sa lugar],” read the advisory.

(Around 15-20 tons of water hyacinths have been removed by the backhoe [in the area].)

Further announcements will be released on the MMDA Pasig River Ferry Service Facebook page. — Jiselle Anne Casucian/VBL, GMA Integrated News
