Power interruptions in parts of Bulacan, Batangas, Pasig City on Aug. 11

Parts of Bulacan and Batangas provinces and Pasig City in Metro Manila are expected to experience power service interruptions on August 11 due to scheduled maintenance activities.

In advisories posted on its website, Manila Electric Company (Meralco) said it will be replacing facilities along North Luzon Expressway (NLEX) Northbound in Bocaue and Balagtas in Bulacan.

Affected between 1 a.m. and 1:30 a.m. and then between 5:30 a.m. and 6 a.m. are:  

• Portion of P. Castro St. from Intan St. to and including A. J. Bathan Store; Sta. Cruz Village, Silverio Compound and St. Francis Subd. in Bgys. Borol 1st and 2nd in Balagtas.
• Portion of North Luzon Expressway (NLEX) East Service Road from Dalig Road to and including Shell - NLEX Northbound, Delifrance, Burger King, Starbucks, Chowking, Kenny Rogers Roasters, KFC Restaurant, Jollibee, Hen Lin and Max's Restaurant in Bgy. Borol 2nd, Balagtas.
• Portion of Dalig Road from North Luzon Expressway (NLEX) East Service Road to and including Sta. Catalina de Alexandria Chapel; Rasheen Homes Subd. and Divine Grace Village 2; and Karuyan Sts. in Bgys. Borol 2nd, Dalig and Pulong Gubat in Balagtas.

Affected between 1 a.m. and 6 a.m. are:

• Portion of North Luzon Expressway (NLEX) East Service Road from Meralco – Sta. Maria substation near Gov. F. Halili Ave. in Bgy. Tambobong, Bocaue to near Shell - NLEX Northbound including Petron Express Center, KFC Restaurant, Chowking, Starbucks, Petron Treats, Petron Car Care Center (CCC) and McDonald’s in Bgys. Borol 2nd and San Juan in Balagtas.

There will also be maintenance works inside Meralco - Tabang substation.

Affected between 5 a.m. and 7 a.m. are:

• Portion of Lucero and Jacinto Sts. from near Anchor Baptist Church to Canlapan St. including Caniogan Subd., Menzy Village, Valcres Subd., Fausta Village, Jose Sionson Subd., Sitio San Roque and Purok 1, 3, 4, 5 & 6; Inang Wika, Kabihasnan, Paraluman, M. Crisostomo, Tanjeco, Valencia, Matadero and T. Alonzo Sts.; Jollibee, Mercury Drug, Maunlad Mall, Malolos Cathedral, Malolos Public Market, Immaculate Conception School for Boys (ICSB), Malolos Resort Club Royale and Diwata Plastic in Bgys. Meralco will also be relocating facilities affected by DPWH project along Batangas Diversion Road in Bgys. Alangilan, Balagtas, Banaba South, and Bolbok in Batangas City, Batangas Province.

• Portion of Batangas Diversion Road from Meralco – Batangas Substation Road to Batangas Diversion Road Rotonda including Total Gas Station, Malayan Towage & Salvage Corp. Batangas Hub, Hino Batangas, Isuzu Batangas City, Batangas City Grand Terminal, Shopwise Batangas City, XentroMall Batangas, Batangas Healthcare Specialists Medical Center, Wilcon Depot, McDonald’s, Shakey’s, United Doctors of St. Camillus De Lellis Hospital & Medical Center and Shell Gas Station in Bgys. Alangilan, Balagtas, Banaba South and Bolbok.
• Portion of Pres. Jose P. Laurel Highway from Batangas Diversion Road Rotonda to and including Balagtas Elementary School in Bgy. Balagtas.

Replacement of hazardous poles and line reconstruction works will be conducted along C. J. Caparas St. in Bgy. Ugong, Pasig City.

Affected between 9 a.m. and 9:30 a.m. and then between 2:30 p.m. and 3 p.m. are:

•  Portion of Eulogio Rodriguez Jr. Ave. (C-5 Road) from Nissan – Pasig to and including Eagle, P. E. Antonio and Jose C. Cruz Sts.; SEAOIL C-5 Pasig, Subaru Pasig, Foton Chery and SM Gem Residences.
• Along Jose C. Cruz St. from Eulogio Rodriguez Jr. Ave. (C-5 Road) to near F. Legazpi St. including Altus Communications KTB Industries and Color Commercial Packaging.
