MRT-3 hit by 'technical issue' on Friday
A “technical issue” hit the Metro Rail Transit 3 (MRT-3) on Friday morning as passengers had to be transferred in the leading car of a train set between Boni Avenue and Guadalupe stations.
“At around 8:37 am today, a technical issue was reported in the leading car of a train set in between the stations of Boni Avenue and Guadalupe (Northbound),” the MRT-3 said in an advisory.
“Passenger transfer at Boni Station (8:47 am) was advised to allow for maintenance technicians to perform troubleshooting. The next train arrived at Boni Avenue Station at around 8:59 am,” it added.
According to the MRT-3, the concerned train was stabled at Shaw Boulevard Station’s pocket track around 9:03 a.m. and it will undergo further checking at the depot.
“The MRT-3 Management deeply apologizes to all passengers affected by this incident,” the MRT-3 said. —VAL, GMA Integrated News
