18 fire volunteers hurt in Tondo blaze
A total of 18 fire volunteers were hurt responding to the blaze in Guidote Street in Tondo, Manila that broke out on Thursday evening, the Bureau of Fire Protection - National Capital Region (NCR) said Friday.
In an update, the BFP-NCR said the following are the injured fire volunteers who sustained first- to second-degree burns on different parts of their body:

Danjake Kawaling, over 25
Marlon Floransa- over 30
Ejay Castillo, 24
Ejay Bacani, 30

Danjane Fajardo, around 20
Maan Floranza, around 20
Bien Antonio, legal age
Julio Rafael Lim, legal age
John Amene, legal age
Patricia Acedo, legal age
Joanna Mae Mandap, legal age
Rhazel Jade Parsario, 21
According to the BFP-NCR, the fire is still ongoing. The fire started at 7:51 p.m. on Thursday and reached the second alarm at 8:14 p.m.
The fire originated from the repair or storage area in the middle front portion of the second floor, the BFP-NCR said.
More or less 65 fire trucks including around 50 from volunteers, 14 from the BFP, and one from the local government responded to the area. Four ambulances also came.
The estimated damage due to the fire was around P19,985,000. —VAL, GMA Integrated News
