NBI arrests mother-aunt of six minors for sexual exploitation

The National Bureau of Investigation (NBI) on Tuesday announced the arrest of the mother and aunt of six minors for forcing them to perform sexual acts with each other.

According to the bureau, the NBI-Violence Against Women and Children Division (VAWCD) arrested the two individuals in an entrapment operation and implementation of a warrant to search, seize, and examine computer data in Caloocan City.

One of the arrested individuals was directly communicating with various foreign nationals while the other produced child sexual abuse and exploitation materials (CSAEMs).

The operation led to the rescue of six minors, five of which were the children of one of the arrested subjects while the remaining one was the child of the other arrested subject.

At the press briefing, VAWCD chief Atty. Yehlen Agus described the acts being forced to the minors as “unconscionable.”

The minors were two 14-year-olds boy and a girl, a 10 year-old girl, a 7-year-old girl, a 2-year-old girl, and a 2-month-old. The NBI said that they have yet to discover CSAEMs involving the 2-month-old.

“These disclosures from the minor victims were confirmed by our Medical Legal Doctors who found several fresh and old abrasions in the private parts of our female victims,” the NBI said.

According to the NBI, initial reports showed that there were hundreds of CSAEM and sexual chat conversations in the phones of the subjects with foreigners.

Meanwhile, according to the NBI, the victims said they were threatened of being thrown into the creek or driven out of their home if they would not follow.

NBI Director Jaime Santiago said the victims are now under the custody of the Department of Social Welfare and Development.

Meanwhile, complaints of multiple counts of violation of online sexual abuse or exploitation of children or child sexual abuse or exploitation materials under Republic Act 11930, qualified trafficking, child abuse law, and rape were filed with the Department of Justice.

The NBI said that the participation of the husbands are still under investigation.

“Hindi sagot sa kahirapan yung aalipustahin mo, babuyin mo yung mga anak mo,” Santiago said.
