Fire hits storehouse in Recto, Manila, reaches 3rd alarm
Fire broke out at a storehouse on Calero Street corner Recto Avenue in Manila on Sunday morning and reached the third alarm.
The Bureau of Fire protection (BFP) said the storehouse is being used to store tumblers, according to GMA Integrated News reporter Jhomer Apresto.
Thick black smoke was seen in the affected area.
The fire started past 1 a.m., according to a report by Mao dela Cruz on Super Radyo dzBB.
The BFP raised the third alarm past 5 a.m. Eighteen firetrucks from various districts arrived in response.
No one was injured or died in the fire, according to a report on Super Radyo dzBB.
Meanwhile, traffic in a portion of the nearby Recto Avenue was closed to traffic to give way to firetrucks.
Firemen were able to put the fire under control before noon.
The BFP is investigating the incident to determine the cause of the fire. —KG, GMA Integrated News
