Traffic seen affected as tunnel machine moved from Manila to QC

The Department of Transportation on Friday advised the public of likely traffic congestion in some areas from July 20 to July 22 as a tunnel-boring machine is moved from Manila to Quezon City.

In an advisory, the DOTr said the heavy equipment used for the construction of the Metro Manila Subway Project will be moved from the Manila port area to the vicinity of Camp Aguinaldo.

The following areas are expected to be affected from 9 p.m. to 4 a.m. on the said dates:

  • Port/ R-10 (between 9 p.m. to 9:30 p.m.)
  • C3 Road (between 9:30 p.m. qto 10:30 p.m)
  • 5th Avenue (between 10:30 p.m. to 12:00 a.m. )
  • G. Araneta Avenue (between 12:00 a.m. to 1:30 a.m.)
  • E. Rodriguez Sr. Avenue (between 1:30 a.m. to 2:00 a.m.)
  • Gilmore Avenue (between 2:00 a.m. to 3:00 a.m.)
  • Col. Bonny Serrano Avenue (between 3:00 a.m.  to 4:00 a.m.)

Motorists have been advised to take alternative routes on affected dates. —NB, GMA Integrated News
