Power interruptions in parts of Makati, QC, Cavite, Laguna on July 17-18

Parts of Magallanes in Makati; Imus and Dasmariñas in Cavite; Bago Bantay in Quezon City; and Calamba in Laguna will experience power service interruptions on July 17 and 18 due to scheduled maintenance activities.

In advisories posted on its website, Manila Electric Company (Meralco) said there will be line reconductoring works, installation of additional lightning protection devices, replacement of poles, and relocation of facilities along Magdalena St. in Magallanes Village, Brgy. Magallanes, Makati City on July 17.

Affected between 9 a.m. and 2 p.m. are:

• Portion of Magdalena St. from Magallanes Ave. to Homonhon St. including Magdalena Circle in Magallanes Village.
• Along Mactan St. from Magdalena St. to Victoria St. in Magallanes Village.

It will also be replacing facilities inside Meralco - Imus substation on July 17.

Affected between 1:30 a.m. and 2 a.m. and then between 9 a.m. and 9:30 a.m. are:

• Portion of Gen. Emilio Aguinaldo Highway from near Padua St. in Bgy. Bayan Luma 7, Imus City to L & AE Home Enterprises including Dara Subd.; and C. Aguinaldo St. in Bgy. Salitran I, Dasmariñas City; Bayanihan Homes Subd., New Imus Village, Santiago Subd., Pag-Asa Subd., Villa Celina Subd., Hausland Subd., Plaridel III & IV Subds., Villa Nicasia 1 Subd., Villa Leticia Subd., Villa Celina Annex Subd. and Rita Sanchez Compound; Pag-Asa, RPR, L. Affected between 11 p.m., Wednesday, July 17, and 4 a.m., Thursday, July 18, are:

• Portion of Ilocos Sur St. from Corregidor St. to and including Iloilo, Samar and Bukidnon Sts.; Sto. Niño Parochial School and Parish Church in Bgys. Magsaysay and Sto. Cristo.
• Portion of Corregidor St. from Ilocos Sur St. to and including Bukidnon and Antigue Sts.; J. P. Sioson General Hospital, Mr. Freeze Tube Ice Plant and Jollibee in Bgys. Ramon Magsaysay and Alicia.
• Portion of Samar St. from Nueva Vizcaya St. to and including Balayan, Fort Santiago, Pangasinan, Albay and Ilocos Sur Sts. in Bgy. Sto. Cristo.
• Portion of Bukidnon St. from Corregidor St. to and including Nueva Vizcaya St.; and SM Grass Residences Tower 4 in Bgy. Ramon Magsaysay.

Relocation of facilities will also be conducted in Amaia Steps Nuvali, Bgy. Canlubang, Calamba City, Laguna from July 17 to 18.

Affected between 10 a.m. and 1 p.m. are:

• Amaia Steps Nuvali and Amaia Steps Parkway Nuvali in Bgy. Canlubang.
