Manila announces road closures for Pasig River Esplanade inauguration

The local government of Manila announced Friday the road closures in line with the inauguration of the Pasig River Esplanade on Sunday.
In a traffic advisory, the Manila public information office said the following roads will be closed starting midnight on Saturday:
- Intramuros - Binondo Bridge northbound and southbound
- Magallanes Drive (from Plaza Mexico to Jones Bridge)
- Plaza Lawton (from Jones Bridge to McArthur Bridge)
The roads will reopen on Sunday.
Meanwhile, motorists were advised to take the following alternative route going to the port area:
- proceed to Padre Burgos Avenue
- turn right to Katigbak
- turn right to Bonifacio Drive
- straight to Anda Circle then proceed to point of destination.
The Pasig River Esplanade is one of the newest attractions in Metro Manila, featuring a view of the Jones Bridge and the Pasig River, as well as sculptures depicting Pandango sa Ilaw.
According to netizens, the venue exudes a vibe similar to European cities while providing visitors a unique view of Manila at night.
