MMDA identifies bogus enforcer in viral video

The Metropolitan Manila Development Authority (MMDA) said Thursday that it has already identified the man who was caught on camera trying to extort money from a motorist by pretending to be a traffic enforcer.

MMDA said that it received information on the identity and residence of the man in the viral video after a netizen sent a message to the agency’s Facebook page.

Hence, the informant would receive a P10,000 reward as promised by the MMDA earlier.

In the viral video, the motorist and his companion asked the fake enforcer to show his ID. But the bogus traffic enforcer suddenly left.

Further, MMDA urged anyone who was victimized by the man to coordinate with the agency for the filing of the case.

“Iniimbitahan po namin kayo na magsimute ng affidavit of complaint para mas mapalakas pa ang kasong isasampa laban sa kanya dahil sa kanyang maling gawain,” said MMDA in a statement.
