MMDA offers P10,000 reward for tip on bogus enforcer

The Metropolitan Manila Development Authority (MMDA) on Tuesday said it was offering a P10,000 reward for anyone who could provide a tip on the identity and whereabouts of a man who allegedly tried to extort money from a motorist by pretending to be a traffic enforcer.

The agency said the man, who was recorded in a viral video, was not affiliated with the MMDA.

“Magbibigay ang ahensiya ng P10,000 na pabuya sa makakapagbigay ng pangalan at  tirahan ng nagpapanggap na lalaki. Maaaring magpadala ng personal na  mensahe o direct message sa MMDA Facebook page,” the MMDA said in a  statement.

In the viral video, the motorist and his companion asked the fake enforcer to show his ID. But the bogus traffic enforcer suddenly left, the MMDA said.

The MMDA added that it would file a complaint against the fake enforcer. — DVM, GMA Integrated News
