Naked Vietnamese woman at NAIA gets help from medical team

A Vietnamese woman was seen roaming naked at the departure area of the Ninoy Aquino International Airport Terminal 3 last Saturday.

According to Darlene Cay’s report on “Saksi” on Tuesday, an airport staffer said the foreigner was allegedly offloaded from her flight going to Ho Chi Minh City.

“...Na-offload ata. Then dumiretso sa toilet, public toilet sa departure, sa CR ng babae. Then, lumabas siya roon, naghubad. Hindi namin alam kung ano’ng dahilan,” said APO1 Michael Ronald de Guzman, NAIA Terminal 3 airport police.

(She was offloaded I guess. Then she went straight to the public toilet at the departure. She came out and undressed herself. We don’t know why she did that.)

But the foreigner did not cause any harm or chaos in the airport, the report said.

The airport personnel immediately provided the Vietnamese woman with clothes, water, and a wheelchair. The airport’s medical team also calmed her down.

“She’s about 34 years old…she appeared a little irritable because una, hindi siya marunong mag-communicate ng Tagalog. And she doesn’t speak well doon din ‘yung English…So we were communicating with her through Google Translate. Okay naman din siya…After some time, binihisan naman agad,” said Manuel Sequitin, Manila International Airport Authority (MIAA) Assistant General Manager for Security and Emergency Services.

(She’s about 34 years old…she appeared a little irritable because first of all she can’t communicate with us in Tagalog. And she doesn’t speak English well…So we were communicating with her through Google Translate. She’s already okay…After some time, we dressed her up.)

After her condition improved, the Vietnamese woman was allowed to travel back to Vietnam on Sunday.
